Today we read about who Kate Barlow is she was a school teacher a hundred years ago at Greenlake for the kids and the men. There was a guy named Charles that she taught and he always hid on her, but she did not want him. Sam is the guy that sells onions outside the schoolhouse and he is African American. Kate Barlow ended up kissing Sam and somebody saw them and back then that was not allowd. The next day Kate shows up to school and the next thing you know Charles and a bunch of people showed up and threaten her for kissing Sam. She ran out and to the sheriff's office. He would not do anything about it because its the law to not have a black guy kiss any white women. She then ran to Sam told her about what was happening the left and went on Sam's boat. Charles caught up to them and shot Sam and took Kate back to land. Kate ended up going back to the sheriff's office kissed him with her red lipstick and killed him. She was then the most feared outlaw in the West.

Today we read about one of the boys magnet stole Mr. Sir's sunflower seeds out of his truck. They were passing them around guy to guy, and then the bag got tossed  at Stanley and they spilled everywhere. They heard the truck coming back that Mr. Sir was in and Stanley panicked and started spreading dirt over top of the bag and the seeds. Mr. Sir got back and looked around and found the bag in Stanley's hole. Mr. Sir asked Stanley how he got them and he said he stole them out of his truck. Mr. Sir then took Stanley to the warden to see what she had to say about it. They got there and Mr. Sir told the warden about it she got mad and slapped Mr. Sir for bothering her with something like that. She then told Stanley to go back to digging his hole. Stanley got back and the hole was already finished. He found out it was Zero and thanked him and the made an agreement that Stanley will teach Zero how to read everynight if Zero diggs some of his hole everyday.

Out of all the different types of food i would have to say Chinese is my favorite. I like the fried rice and the chicken lo mien the most also the pot stickers. The last time i had Chinese was a few weeks ago when i cooked it at home. 

Today we read about Stanley making friends and he wrote a letter to his mom. Also about him digging his second hole and he found a fossil rock, and anything he finds that he digs up he is supposed to tell one of the adults about it and he might get a day off if it is something good. But they did not let him have a day off because it was not worth anything to them. 

Stanley Yelnat's is a little bit overweight, an only child and is 13 to 14 years old. The grandfather is a pig stealer and was robbed by a famous person. Mr. Pendansky works with the boys there and also is Stanley's counselor. What is happening so far in the story is Stanley got arrested and was sent to Camp Green Lake for a little while. He arrived there and met his counselor and was told what was expected from him while he is there, he also got introduced to some of the guys that are staying in the same room as him. That is as far as we got so far.
